Hasta noviembre de 1814 los RRGGCC siguen vistiendo el mismo uniforme anterior, con las limitaciones y dificultades propias de las circunstancias.

===Reglamento de 1803===
Por RO de 29 de junio de 1803 se anula lo establecido por el Tratado III de las Ordenanzas de 1768, en el sentido de que, en adelante, solo llevarán luto los generales y la Guardia Real. De esta forma se intenta evitar gastos superfluos. Esta orden se modificó por otra de 17 de mayo de 1806, que ha llegado hasta nuestros días. Todos aquellos a los que la orden anterior excusaba de llevar luto, desde ahora llevarán una gasa negra o tafetán sin lustre en el brazo izquierdo, en lugar de la banda implantada en las ordenanzas de 1768.
